The Blight, uncovered in an archaeological excavation, has destroyed the future, consuming and destroying all computers while hunting mankind to the brink of extinction. Though the Virus Wars destroyed nearly all of them, one still remains, intent to eradicate humans once and for all. One of the few remaining PODD-casters, those few who can use a Physical Object Displacement Device to travel through time, has opened a portal to our time period to enlist the aid of their past, unwittingly releasing the Blight into our time.
